MAAP Apparel and Velo Mallorca collaborated for a social ride series "Spring Classic Ride Series" for all Velo Mallorca community. As the peloton smashes out in the heartland of cycling we play homage to the Spring Classics, across the months of March, April and May inspired by the iconic races.
The MAAP Social Ride Series were divided into three different stages:
- Stage 1: Cobble, bergs and distance.
It was a 90km ride with an elevation of 771m done in three hours on Saturday 16th of March. The route was centric on the most iconic Majorcan roads around The Tramuntana. We started from Velo Mallorca visiting Alaró, Selva, Santa Maria del Camí and Palma. The ride was a combination of well-known cols, but also some lesser-known climbs.
After the ride, we did a ruffle to giveaway a MAAP musette and MAAP socks. As well as a chronometric segment in Strava offering a VELO Mallorca gift card. As a surprise, we printed Polaroid photos as a giveaway to all our participants.
- Stage 2: Cobble, bergs and distance.
It was a quick ride of 130km with an elevation of 899m done in four hours on Saturday 20th of April. The route was designed to cycle around the south of Mallorca around different roads that connect the villages of Llucmajor, Santanyi, Felanitx and Algaida with a coffee stop in Sa Taona de Caimari. An inspiring route for all types of cyclists who enjoy the ride and the cycling life.
After the ride, some of Majorcan's local food and beverages were offered in Velo Mallorca at Calle Estacada 1, in Palma de Mallorca to our MAAP community.
- Stage 3: Cobble, bergs and distance.
It was a quick ride of 88km with an elevation of 1.737m done in 3 hours on Sunday 26th of May.
