Factor Lando XC, full suspension XC racer.

The frame of the new Factor XC bike has been designed with the shock oriented vertically. This offers huge benefits in both weight savings and stiffness because the shock force can be concentrated at the bottom bracket, allowing for a thinner top tube that doesn't require too many layers of carbon and weight.

The design also ensures that the shock is completely isolated from any side loads, improving shock life and small bump sensitivity.

Riders serious about XC training and racing rely on predictable suspension in any gear. That's why a patented single-pivot "dummy bar" linkage has been designed with 115mm rear travel based on a 45mm race damper and 100mm based on a 40mm race damper.

The philosophy behind our kinematics keeps the anti-squat in the 90% range to ensure the suspension stays firm but active when you crank up the watts.

The design features of a Factor bike are never just there for show. The LANDO XC carbon frame's split seat tube is not only a reference to the Twin Vane EVO split down tube on our road bikes, it also allows for monobox chainstays and reduced weight.

Shared pivots mounted directly to the frames provide a super-stiff, well-aligned interface for the entire suspension to ride.

The one piece molded carbon rocker arm is extremely stiff which prevents any side loading on the shock, dramatically prolonging its life. The design also decreases static friction during use.

The shared shock and lower swingarm pivot mounted as wide as possible ensure the simplest, lightest and strongest use of frame material available. To give the system a clean, lean look, most of the loads are hidden or on the side away from the drivetrain. The design references similar Factor combo designs found on our high-end road bikes.

The Lando XC bike frame features progressive and modern geometry. So the 67° head tube angle combined with the 120mm travel fork allows you to set up in a rearward position to boost your speed on technical terrain.

The 75.5° seat tube angle along with the zero offset seat post allows you to improve power output by positioning your knee over the pedal spindle.

The long top tube, coupled with the relatively short stem, keeps the center of gravity over the rear of the bike to ensure traction and control. Fore-balanced rear center length ensures predictable handling.

The XC Factor LANDO Mountain Bike features Black Inc. integration to complement ride quality while minimizing weight.
